This was painted with gouache on illustration board from a live model. Ms. Lewis was a product design major at Art Center College of Design, but had originally wanted to major in illustration. To mollify her passion for fine art, she took as many illustration courses as could fit into the product design curriculum.

A pencil sketch from a live model. The poor gentleman posed in costume, a rain slicker, on a hot day that made it difficult for him. What wasn't drawn was the perspiration that ran from his sleeve at a steady stream.
